Man from Skopje arrested in Ohrid on domestic violence allegations
Man identified as T.P.(33) from Skopje was arrested in an apartment he had rented near Ohrid; authorities say a family member was physically attacked.
Police in Ohrid detained a man from Skopje on suspicion of domestic violence after an incident in a rented apartment, authorities said.
According to the report, on 21.08.2026 at 19:10 police officers from SVR Ohrid took into custody T.P.(33) from Skopje. The arrest took place in a village in the Ohrid area where the suspect had rented an apartment.
Details of the incident
Officers say T.P.(33) physically assaulted a member of his family inside the rented accommodation. The victim’s identity and the extent of any injuries were not disclosed in the initial notice.
After police complete documentation of the case, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed, the Ministry of Interior reported.
The investigation remains open as authorities gather evidence and prepare the formal charges.
