Student stabs pupil and school employee at electrotechnical school in Zagreb
An attack with a sharp object at an electrotechnical school in Zagreb left a pupil and a woman injured; police opened a criminal probe.
An incident at an electrotechnical school in Zagreb this morning left one pupil and one school employee wounded after another pupil attacked them with a sharp object.
The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth dispatched a crisis team to the school, and the Ministry of Health later announced that everyone who required assistance has been treated.
Police response and investigation
The Police Administration in Zagreb said the pupil who caused the injuries is under police supervision. A criminal investigation and an on-site inspection are under way, the statement said.
Unofficial reports indicate the pupils involved are fifteen years old. After the attack, the other students were sent home and a psychological support team was also sent to the school.
No names have been released. Authorities said those who needed medical or psychological help were cared for at the scene or referred for further assistance.
