Hydrometeorological Service: Cloudy, cooler with occasional rain — snow possible on high mountains
Minimums 4–13°C and maximums 7–16°C; heavier showers in the southeast and a northerly wind along the Vardar valley.
The Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) warns of mostly cloudy and cooler conditions today with occasional local rain, becoming heavier in the country’s southeast.
Colder air pushing in from the north will cause precipitation at some higher elevations to change to snow. A moderate to strong northerly wind is expected, which will be more pronounced along the Vardar valley.
Weather in Skopje
Skopje will see cloudy and cooler weather with intermittent rain. Winds will be moderate, and in parts of the basin occasionally stronger from the north. Temperatures in the city are forecast to range between minimum 11°C and maximum 14°C.
Across the country the UHMR gives minimum temperatures of 4°C to 13°C and maximum temperatures of 7°C to 16°C.
The agency adds that the changeable, cooler pattern is expected to persist through the week.
