VMRO-DPMNE Women's Union officially formed its Executive Committee

The VMRO-DPMNE Women's Union confirmed the new composition of its Executive Committee, announced the chairwoman of this party body, Marija Miteva, who assessed that it is "a team composed of women with rich professional, academic, social and political experience."

Elena Ivanovska was elected general secretary of the Union; she is currently serving as State Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Science. Elected as vice-presidents were Ane Lashkoska, Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, and Lenche Neloska, director of the Institute of Gerontology in Skopje.

The new Executive Committee also includes opera singer Ana Durlovska, associate professor and specialist in dermatovenereology Mirela Vasileva, journalist Ana Shutinovska Lazarevska, ethnochoreologist Ljupka Stefanovska, as well as several experts, professors, physicians, lawyers, directors of public institutions, female MPs and female mayors.

Among the members are Marija Karapancheva, Andrea Gjoshevska, Nadica Andreeva, Ruzhica Nikolovska, Daniela Dimovska, Elena Kochoska, Irena Alexioska Papestiev, Mare Bogeva Mitsovska, Natasha Janusheva, Biljana Kuzmanoska, Ivana Lazarevska, Dijana Ilievska, Dragana Arsova, Katerina Dimitrovska, Aneta Markovska Ilievska, Daniela Trpeska, Marija Naceva, Beti Stamenkoska Trajkoska and Natalija Dimitrieva.

Miteva said that the VMRO-DPMNE Women's Union "will continue to work on creating opportunities for greater participation of women in public and political life, strengthening women's leadership and their active involvement in the processes that contribute to the development of the state."

The party simultaneously elected presidents of a number of municipal committees as part of broader organizational changes.
