Public Enterprise for State Roads to take additional €40 million loan; total nearly €356m in two months
A syndicated 2.46 billion denar loan from Komercijalna Banka and Halk Bank will be repaid over eight years with a three‑year grace period.

The Public Enterprise for State Roads will take a new loan of 40 million euros from domestic banks backed by a state guarantee, the enterprise announced in a government decision. This is the third borrowing approved in a little over two months, bringing the total authorised debt for the company to around 356 million euros.
Terms and purpose of the new credit
The loan will be provided as a syndicated facility arranged with Komercijalna Banka and Halk Bank in the amount of 2.46 billion denars. Unlike the previous two credits, the government decision does not single out a specific highway project; instead the funds are earmarked for "financing of assumed obligations and refinancing of debts" related to capital projects and investments.
Repayment is scheduled over eight years, with a three-year grace period, and the funds must be drawn no later than December 31, 2026. The agreed interest condition is the reference rate plus a margin of 1.55 percentage points, with additional terms to be detailed in the loan contract.
This new borrowing follows two earlier approvals in the same span of roughly two months. Together, the three approved facilities total about 356 million euros and are all secured with a state guarantee.
The enterprise and the government will finalise contractual details with the lending banks, including any additional conditions stipulated in the agreements.
