Premises of KUD "Srpski vez" in Kumanovo vandalized; mayor demands swift investigation

The mayor of Kumanovo, Maksim Dimitrievski, issued a strong public reaction after the premises of KUD "Srpski vez" in the town were vandalized and called on investigative authorities to act quickly.

In his statement Dimitrievski demanded that investigators identify the perpetrators and ensure they face legal consequences.

Mayor: Kumanovo stands for coexistence

"I strongly condemn the vandalism of the premises of KUD 'Srpski vez' in Kumanovo! I ask the investigative authorities to determine the identity of the perpetrators and bring them to justice," Dimitrievski said, urging a rapid response from law enforcement.

The mayor stressed that such acts disturb public peace and do not reflect love for the country but rather fuel division. He underlined Kumanovo's reputation as a city known for multiculturalism and coexistence.

"Kumanovo has always been a city of multiculturalism and coexistence, and it will remain so; such acts are not patriotism but pure chauvinism that fuels national intolerance against which all citizens of Kumanovo stand," he added, calling for appropriate sanctions against those responsible.
