Government approves rebalance: revenues and spending cut by €86.2 million
Total revenues are adjusted to €6.08 billion while expenditures are trimmed after fiscal effects from lower fuel taxes.

The Government of North Macedonia approved a budget rebalance that reduces both revenues and expenditures by the equivalent of €86.2 million, the cabinet said in its statement. With the changes, total revenues under the revised budget are set at €6.08 billion.
Key adjustments and fiscal drivers
The government said the rebalance adapts the revenue and spending sides of the budget to reflect the fiscal impact of measures it took to support households and businesses — notably reductions in excise duties and value added tax on fuels.
Under the previous rebalance in July, revenues were positioned at 379.5 billion denars; the new round reduces that figure by 5.3 billion denars. The revised projection for expenditures is 420.5 billion denars (about €6.84 billion).
Officials pointed out that the currently projected expenditure level for 2026 stood at 425.8 billion denars (roughly €6.92 billion). The latest rebalance therefore trims planned spending by 5.3 billion denars, equivalent to €86.2 million.
The cabinet framed the exercise as necessary to realign fiscal plans with the cost of temporary relief measures for fuel, noting the adjustments affect both the income and outlay estimates for the year.
