Vlen rejects DUI claims: "Corridor 8 is being built"

Vlen rejected accusations from the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), calling the party's statements propaganda and insisting that works on Corridor 8 are ongoing across several sections.

Responding to claims by DUI that resources are being redirected to speed up construction of the Prilep–Bitola stretch (Corridor 10‑D) ahead of next spring’s elections, Vlen described the accusations as coming from a "propaganda kitchen" and full of fabrications and what it called invented arithmetic.

In its rebuttal Vlen highlighted current construction activity as a factual counter to DUI’s claims. "On the Gostivar–Bukojcani section the works are underway on 17 of a total 31 kilometres, and activities continue on Tetovo–Gostivar, as well as on the other sections. Corridor 8 is a strategic project and will be realised," the coalition said.

Vlen also mocked the opposition’s "4 to 1" ratio allegation, saying it originated from partisan guesswork. "Now they've invented a new mathematics — '4 to 1'. Numbers gathered who knows in which party café. The opposition clearly has difficulty accepting reality, so in despair they started to go from site to site, counting excavators to see where more work is being done," the statement read.

The coalition urged DUI, rather than creating "empty noise" and dragging NATO into its messaging without evidence, to publish at least one official document that would substantiate the alleged "4 to 1" distribution. Vlen concluded with a direct political attack on Ali Ahmeti’s party, accusing it of continuing to spread falsehoods and warning that if it persists, voters may remove it from the political map.
