VMRO-DPMNE tells SDSM to get Gostivar water results from Komunalec and Mayor Limani
VMRO-DPMNE says the municipal utility JP "Komunalec" and mayor Valbon Limani hold responsibility for water tests and should publish results.

VMRO-DPMNE urged SDSM to seek the water-analysis results directly from the municipal utility and from Gostivar’s mayor, after SDSM again demanded that authorities publish the tests that, officials say, show the water is safe to drink.
Party representatives pointed to the Public Utility Company "Komunalec" Gostivar as the body responsible for any sampling and testing, and said SDSM should address the mayor for publication of the reports.
Jurisdiction and political responsibility
VMRO-DPMNE spelled out the chain of responsibility and the power to appoint or remove the director of JP "Komunalec", noting that this authority lies with the municipal mayor. In their statement they singled out Mayor Valbon Limani and his political backing within SDSM, DUI and “the party of Taravari.”
In the party’s words: "So on this matter, they should address the mayor and tell him to publish the results. Secondly, the competent institution that appoints and dismisses the director of the public utility 'Komunalec' is the municipal mayor, in this case Valbon Limani, a mayor from the ranks of SDSM, DUI and the party of Taravari."
VMRO-DPMNE also accused the local authorities in Gostivar of incompetence and said the central government was forced to step in over the water contamination issues affecting the Gostivar supply.
Opposition SDSM has repeatedly demanded release of the analysis showing the water is safe for consumption. Over the past weekend Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said he insists that the analysis report be published: "I insist that the report on the water in Gostivar be published."
