Voting is being held today in Brvenica for people who are sick or physically unable to go to polling stations, as well as for individuals serving prison sentences, in the framework of the second round of early mayoral elections for the Municipality of Brvenica.

Who is voting today

The State Election Commission (SEC) reported that a total of 107 sick and immobile voters are eligible to cast ballots today, alongside nine persons who are currently serving prison sentences. These groups are allowed to vote one day before the official election day under election rules.

Mobile ballot teams and the procedures for voting outside standard polling places are being used so that eligible citizens can exercise their right to vote without coming to the regular polling stations.

Tomorrow, the remaining registered voters in the Municipality of Brvenica will vote at the polling stations as the second round for mayor concludes the local electoral process.

Authorities say the early voting for these categories is standard practice designed to ensure inclusivity and to enable all citizens with the right to vote to participate in the runoff.
