4,483 residents in Gostivar sought medical help for stomach complaints; four hospitalized

The Ministry of Health reported that 4,483 residents of Gostivar have sought medical assistance for stomach-related complaints since monitoring began, while authorities continue intensified epidemiological work in the area.

During yesterday, a total of 36 consultations were carried out at the General Hospital and the Health Centre in Gostivar, a decrease of 37 consultations compared with the previous day when 73 visits were recorded. At present, four patients remain hospitalized.

Surveillance and case processing

So far, health institutions have received 1,014 formal reports of infectious disease. Health teams have processed 706 new epidemiological questionnaires, representing a coverage rate of 70 percent.

Officials said teams are maintaining enhanced surveillance, continuing data collection and patient interviews, and coordinating the implementation of necessary protective measures for the population.

Authorities described the reduction in daily consultations as an encouraging sign, but emphasized that the situation is being monitored closely.
