79-year-old woman from Skopje run over in Ohrid
Victim taken to Special Hospital “Sveti Erazmo” with serious injuries; driver, 52, was driving despite an active ban.

Yesterday at about 10:55 a.m. a 79-year-old woman from Skopje was struck by a car on Jane Sandanski Street in Ohrid and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The vehicle involved was a Peugeot registered in Ohrid, driven by 52-year-old B. H. from Ohrid. The injured woman, identified by initials M. N., was treated for severe bodily injuries at the Special Hospital "Sveti Erazmo" in Ohrid, officials said.
Police establish driver was under active ban
An investigative team from the Ohrid branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out an on-site inspection. During the check, authorities determined that the driver was operating the car despite an active prohibition on driving.
Police reported that the incident has been fully documented and that, following completion of the file, appropriate charges will be filed against the driver.
The injured woman remains under care at the hospital while investigators continue their work to establish the full circumstances of the collision, including whether any additional violations occurred.
