1,621 traffic offences recorded in three days; 43 people detained
The Ministry of Internal Affairs says 456 speeding offences and 385 parking violations were among the recorded cases.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 1,621 traffic offences were registered over the past three days across the country.
Of the total, 456 cases involved drivers exceeding the permitted speed. Authorities also recorded 385 instances of illegal parking.
Detentions and vehicle removals
Police detained 43 people for reckless driving: two for driving under the influence of alcohol, 20 for driving without a licence, and two who had previously been banned from driving. In addition, 28 sanctions were issued for driving under the influence and 19 vehicles were seized under Article 300-b of the Criminal Code.
“Under the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, 159 motorcycle riders were sanctioned for not wearing a protective helmet. Also, 105 road users were sanctioned for not using a seat belt. Under the Law on Vehicles, 17 vehicles were removed from traffic because they were unregistered, and seven due to technical defects. Four drivers were sanctioned for failing to meet the prescribed conditions regarding window tinting on vehicles (films),” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said, adding that checks will continue in the coming days.
Authorities emphasised that traffic controls will be maintained in the following days as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety.
