EVN Macedonia worker attacked in Skopje’s Saraj neighborhood

An employee of the EVN Macedonia group was physically attacked on July 29, 2026, while working in the Saraj neighborhood of Skopje and subsequently filed a police report, authorities said.

According to police records, the victim identified himself as G.K. (45) from Skopje. The report states that the incident took place at about 13:00 on 29.07.2026 while he was carrying out work duties in the municipality of Saraj; the attacker is listed as T.B. (32) from the village of Saraj.

Investigation to follow

The injured employee reported the event to the Skopje police station at 13:15 on the same day. Police noted that they will complete full documentation of the case and then take the appropriate legal steps.

No further details about injuries or the motive were released immediately. The case remains under investigation and police say more information will be provided as inquiries progress.

Officials have not yet announced any charges; authorities indicated that a formal submission will be made after the investigative and documentation procedures are finished.

The attack drew attention to the risks faced by utility workers performing duties in the field; police urged anyone with information to come forward to assist the probe.
