Weather today: sunny and hot in North Macedonia, highs up to 37°C
Hydrometeorological Service forecasts morning 14–21°C, daytime 31–37°C; local storms possible later, peaking Wed–Thu.

The Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) forecasts sunny and warm conditions across North Macedonia today with only small to moderate local cloudiness. Meteorologists warn that some areas may see local instability later in the day with heavy showers, thunder and gusty winds.
During daytime hours a light to moderate northerly wind is expected. Morning temperatures are predicted to range between 14 and 21 °C, while daytime highs will generally fall between 31 and 37 °C.
In Skopje the weather will also be mainly sunny and warm with small to moderate cloud cover. Winds in the capital are expected to be light to moderate and variable in direction. Temperatures there are forecast to drop to a minimum of 21 °C and climb to a maximum of 37 °C.
Short-term outlook
UHMR says the sunny and hot pattern will continue into the next few days, accompanied by mostly small to moderate cloudiness. Afternoon instability is likely, becoming more pronounced on Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the forecast, Wednesday and Thursday carry a higher risk of severe convective activity — including strong winds, heavy downpours, thunder and the possibility of hail. Conditions should relax by Friday and across the weekend, returning to sunny and warm weather.
Temperatures later in the week may rise slightly, with daytime values reaching up to 38 °C on Friday and during the weekend in some areas.
