North Macedonia weather, October 11, 2026: showers and locally heavy downpours
Showers and locally heavy rain with thunderstorms and gusty north winds; mountain precipitation may turn to snow on Tuesday.

Variable cloudiness and scattered rain showers are expected across North Macedonia on October 11, 2026, with locally heavy downpours, thunderstorms and gusty winds in places, the Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) warns.
Regional highlights and timing
Morning temperatures will range between 9 and 15 degrees Celsius. Daytime maximums are forecast to reach as low as 14 °C in Mavrovo and up to 21 °C in Gevgelija and Strumica.
Skopje will also see intermittent rain; parts of the city basin may experience more intense conditions, including heavy showers, thunder and strengthened winds. The capital's daytime high is expected to climb to around 19 °C.
The country remains under cyclonic influence through Tuesday. During the day some places may receive particularly abundant rainfall — UHMR says totals can locally exceed 20 litres per square metre within 24 hours.
Tomorrow the Service forecasts an increase in northern winds that in some spots could reach speeds up to 60 kilometres per hour. On Tuesday, a colder air mass will push precipitation at higher mountain elevations to change over to snow.
