Man dies after falling into well excavation in Oktisi
Authorities say the 70-year-old was pulled from the pit by Struga firefighters; an autopsy has been ordered.

On September 14, 2026 at 15:15 the Struga Police Department received a report that B.M. (70), a resident of the village of Oktisi, had fallen into an excavation for a well on the premises of a house in the village. The digging work was being carried out by a construction firm.
Emergency teams recovered the body
The body was pulled from the pit by members of the Struga Territorial Firefighting Unit. A physician from the Vevcani Health Center pronounced death and reported that there were no signs of violence on the body.
An on-site inspection was carried out by a public prosecutor together with representatives of the State Labor Inspectorate and police teams from Struga.
The deceased will be subjected to an autopsy, the police said, as investigators continue to establish the circumstances of the accident.
The case remains under investigation by the Struga Police Department and the relevant state authorities.
