Zelenskyy: We struck the Progress rocket‑and‑space centre in Samara

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Kyiv struck the Progress rocket-and-space centre in the Russian city of Samara, saying the facility was hit with domestically produced "Flamingo" cruise missiles.
The Progress complex is part of the Russian space agency Roscosmos and builds Soyuz launch vehicles, making it a strategic target in Ukraine's campaign of long-range strikes.
"Today we have new significant results from our long-range strikes," Zelenskyy said, praising the operation as an important achievement for Ukrainian forces.
In the same wave of attacks, Kyiv reported a strike on the Savasleyka military airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region — described as home to Russian aircraft used in missile operations against Ukraine — and on an oil facility in the Leningrad Region.
"I am grateful to all the units involved for their accuracy. Our plan for long-range strikes against Russia as a response to this war is being carried out and it is important that Russia's military potential keeps declining," Zelenskyy added.
The announcement comes amid an intensification of Ukrainian long-range strikes on military and energy infrastructure inside Russia in recent months. Kyiv presents those operations as a form of prolonged pressure aimed at forcing the Kremlin back to the negotiating table.
