A short video that spread widely this morning shows a woman who parked a Porsche on a bridge over the Lepenec in Skopje and then threw a bag of garbage directly into the river.
Footage, location and reaction
The recording shows the woman parking the luxury car on the bridge near the Kanal 5 television building, at the mouth where the Lepenec flows into the Vardar. After placing the vehicle, she casually drops a bag with waste into the river.
What inflamed viewers further was her behaviour after the act: instead of hiding or showing remorse, she calmly smiled and waved at the person filming before getting back into the Porsche.
The clip circulated rapidly across news outlets and social networks, provoking an avalanche of negative reactions and public outrage in North Macedonia.
Citizens on social media demanded an urgent response from inspection services and the police so the woman can be identified and appropriately sanctioned for polluting public spaces and riverbeds.
