WFC Pelister launches in Bitola
Pelister announced the creation of a women's team in Bitola, including a senior squad that will compete in the First Women's Football League of North Macedonia.
Football Club Pelister announced on August 4, 2026 that it has established a women's section, launching the Women's Football Club Pelister – Bitola and officially entering the women's game at the club level in Bitola.
New chapter for a historic club
Club officials framed the move as part of a broader growth in women's football both globally and inside North Macedonia, saying the new team will expand Pelister's activities and give local female players a structured pathway to progress.

With the formation of WFC Pelister, the club opens a new chapter in its history and expands its family with the goal of contributing to the development and promotion of women's football in Bitola and North Macedonia. WFC Pelister will work on the development of female players across several age categories, creating conditions for proper sporting development, progress and the promotion of young talents. Equally important is that from its inception the club will have a senior team that will compete in the First Women's Football League of North Macedonia. FC Pelister remains committed to the development of football in Bitola, and the formation of WFC Pelister represents another important step in building a strong, organized and modern club that will create opportunities for all generations and contribute to the development of sport in our city. Alongside plans for youth age groups, the club confirmed the immediate creation of a senior women's squad that will participate in the country's top women’s competition, providing a direct route for local talent to play at the highest national level.
Local supporters and club representatives welcomed the announcement as a long-awaited development for Bitola's sporting scene, and officials said Pelister intends to invest in coaching, facilities and youth scouting to sustain the new programme.
