Cvetan Dimov Boulevard moves a step closer to reality
On October 5, 2026, at 15:43, the mayor of the Chair municipality, Izet Mejditi, announced that municipal teams together with surveying experts went to the field to fix the precise route of the planned Cvetan Dimov boulevard.
Field work to define the corridor
According to the municipality, the on-site measurements are the first concrete action in advancing the project that is expected to ease traffic and strengthen connections between Chair and the neighbouring municipalities of Butel, Shuto Orizari and other nearby communities in the Skopje area.
Mejditi described the intervention as one of the major infrastructure measures and a long-standing need for residents in this part of the city.
"Today we took a concrete step toward realizing the Cvetan Dimov boulevard. Our teams, together with the surveying experts, are on site to precisely determine the boulevard’s route. For me, this project is more than an investment in infrastructure — it is the fulfillment of a promise and a response to a long-standing need of the citizens. Promises only have value when they are turned into concrete work, and the Cvetan Dimov boulevard is already moving from promise to realization," Mejditi said in a statement.
The municipality added that citizen reactions on the ground have been very positive, since the boulevard’s widening is expected to directly contribute to easing traffic and improving infrastructure links in this part of Skopje.
