Center for Crisis Management: 14 open-area fires registered by 18:00, active fire near Greshnica
One fire remains active in Makedonski Brod near Greshnica; two fires under control and 11 extinguished by 18:00.

The Center for Crisis Management (CCM) reported that, until 18:00 today, a total of 14 fires in open areas were registered across the country. Of those, one fire remained active, two were brought under control and 11 were completely extinguished.
Active fire near Greshnica
The active blaze is in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, near the village of Greshnica at the location known as Stojanova Naselba. The fire has affected low vegetation, degraded forest and shrubs.
Fires placed under control include a fire at the landfill in Delchevo and a blaze near the village of German in the Municipality of Rankovce, both of which involved low vegetation.
During the day 11 fires were fully extinguished at multiple locations across the country: in the municipalities of Zhelino, Gostivar, Vinica and Zrnovci, Bitola, Prilep, Dolneni, Lipkovo, Kratovo, Negotino, Kavadarci and Karposh.
The fires predominantly consumed low vegetation, stubble, shrubs, illegal dumps, as well as straw and waste. Thanks to timely interventions by firefighting teams, further spread was prevented.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and urge the public to avoid actions that could spark new fires and to report any outbreaks immediately.
