A change in the weather is expected starting tomorrow (13 August 2026), when parts of the country will face instability with heavy rain and thunderstorms and a fall in temperatures by several degrees.
The Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) says that conditions will be unstable tomorrow and on Friday (14 August 2026), accompanied by heavy downpours, thunder and strengthening winds. Locally, these processes may become more intense and take on the character of severe storms, with strong gusts and a risk of hail.

In Skopje the forecast calls for variable cloudiness with sunny intervals, and a gradual decrease in daytime temperatures is expected.
Despite scorching temperatures earlier in the week, afternoon convective activity can still form — UHMR warns that short-lived but intense episodes are possible in some areas.
Authorities recommend caution during periods of heavy rain and wind, particularly where thunderstorms are reported; motorists and people in exposed outdoor locations should be prepared for sudden weather changes.
