Dobrila Ivanovska Cabric, nearly 100, spends evenings at the casino
The Macedonian show winner says casino nights, travel and work keep her energetic even at 98.

Dobrila Ivanovska Cabric, the Macedonian winner of the veterans' talent show Never Too Late, is approaching her 100th birthday but insists age is only a number — and spends many evenings at a casino.
Nightlife as routine, not exception
Rather than settling into quiet nights at home, Cabric says she prefers the bustle and company of a casino, where she meets friends and enjoys the atmosphere. She tells the story with the detail that the setting is familiar: she worked as a casino manager for six years and used to sing there on weekends.
About her nightly habit she says: "I always go out in the evening. To the casino, of course! I was a manager in a casino for six years and that business is very well known to me. I have many friends who come from Greece, so where else should we meet except at the casino? Restaurants don't interest me, food doesn't attract me because I cook for myself. In the casino there is that excitement, for me it is real therapy! A little laughter, a little joke, and even an argument… It is all part of life."
Cabric also credits a positive outlook and active lifestyle for her long-lasting energy. She remains professionally active — until recently she worked on a monodrama based on her autobiographical book and recorded new songs — and continues to drive her own car, travel the Dojran–Belgrade route and swim regularly in Lake Dojran.
Asked how she still attracts attention from men at 98, she replied with a laugh: "How should I know how I attract them! I don't worry much about it. They just come at me, they stick like flies to me, I don't even know why that is!"
Her example underlines a clear message: for Cabric, vitality comes from temperament and engagement with life rather than chronological age.
