Two Radovish police officers charged over falsified report for seven vehicle checks
Strumica police filed charges after verification found the written controls did not match what drivers and records showed.

Two police officers from Radovish have been criminally charged after internal checks found that a report they filed — which said seven vehicles were stopped and inspected — contained entries for motorists who said they had not been stopped.
Charges filed after paperwork did not match field checks
The Strumica Regional Police (Sektor za Vnatresni Raboti Strumica) submitted a criminal complaint through the Radovish Basic Police Station to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption against B.Č. (31) from Konche and B.B. (38) from Radovish.
According to the police, on 13 October the two officers prepared a report claiming they had conducted controls of seven vehicles. The document listed vehicle makes, registration numbers, drivers' names and the times when the checks were allegedly carried out.
Subsequent verification showed inconsistencies: some of the recorded checks matched periods when the same officers had recorded in the report that they were not executing police orders. Interviews with the persons named as drivers established that on the date in question they had not been stopped or inspected by police.
The contested report was signed by the first accused, B.Č., who is named as the responsible police officer. The first suspect is charged with falsifying an official document, while the second is charged as an accomplice in the same offence.
