Gordana Siljanovska‑Davkova in Brussels: accelerated Reform Agenda and support from "Friends of the Western Balkans"

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met today in Brussels with the ambassadors who form the group "Friends of the Western Balkans" to discuss regional cooperation and the European perspective for countries in the region.

Diplomatic backing and a message on reforms

At the meeting she thanked the envoys for their support for North Macedonia's EU path and listed the diplomats present: Irena Andrasi (Croatia), Joanis Vrailas (Greece), Balint Odor (Hungary), Vincenzo Celeste (Italy), Juraj Nociar (Slovakia) and Vladimir Bertl (the Czech Republic).

Siljanovska-Davkova underlined that, "despite the blockage in the accession process, the solid level of alignment of our legislation with the law of the European Union and the 100% alignment with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy confirm Macedonia's commitment to the European integration process."

The conversation focused on advancing the Reform Agenda at an accelerated pace and on continued cooperation across the region to keep the European perspective on track despite current political obstacles.

The president's meeting in Brussels follows ongoing government and diplomatic efforts to maintain momentum in reforms and to secure external support for North Macedonia's EU accession.
