"In full coordination with all competent institutions, two aircraft of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue intervened on the ground, as well as the teams of the Tetovo Territorial Firefighting Unit, which worked continuously and with maximum dedication. Thanks to the rapid, professional response and the coordination of all competent services, the fire has been contained, and teams remain on site to monitor the situation and completely extinguish the remaining hotspots, in order to prevent its reactivation," the statement said.

The CCM reminded that the two firefighting aircraft and the ground teams from Tetovo worked intensively to quickly contain the blaze. According to the statement, the fire is contained, but the services remain on site to monitor and fully extinguish the remaining hotspots.

Muhamet Ali appealed to all citizens in the coming days to be extremely careful, not to light fires in open areas, and to immediately report any appearance of smoke or fire to the single emergency number 112.

The authorities say they will continue to monitor the situation on site and will take additional measures if necessary to prevent the fire from reactivating.
