Electronic consignment note advances digitization of North Macedonia's transport sector
Union of Chambers of Commerce and Business Confederation say the system will speed procedures and reduce costs, but interoperability and a one‑stop institutional setup are needed.
The implementation of the electronic consignment note is an important step toward the digitization and modernization of the transport sector, the Union of Chambers of Commerce said.
They pointed out that full functionality will require system interoperability, coordination between institutions and the establishment of a common institutional architecture via a one‑stop system.
Key prerequisites for rollout
The business community, including the Business Confederation, believes the new electronic system will contribute to modernization of the transport sector.
Representatives of the private sector say the goal is to define concrete solutions through direct dialogue between public and private actors that will allow less paperwork, faster procedures, a more efficient flow of goods and a reduction in time and costs for transport and logistics companies.
Stakeholders emphasise that successful introduction will depend on technical readiness and sustained coordination across public bodies and industry participants.
