Instrumental Bend: acrobatic performance at Bitola wedding leaves bride stunned

A short clip posted by the popular Bitola group Instrumental Bend captured an unusual moment at a Macedonian wedding: while the band played on stage, the groom’s friends dressed in suits launched into acrobatics on the dance floor, rolling and tumbling mid-song and leaving the bride visibly stunned.

The footage, shared on the band's Facebook page, quickly circulated on social networks as guests cheered the impromptu show that turned the reception into a full-blown party.

Reputation built over two decades

Instrumental Bend has earned a reputation in North Macedonia for lively, professional performances. Formed in 2005, the group mixes traditional and modern sounds and is known for a wide repertoire—from pop and rock classics to dance and folk music.

Last year, in 2025, the Bitola ensemble celebrated its 20th anniversary with a concert at the ancient site of Heraclea Lyncestis in Bitola, performing before a packed amphitheater. Friends and collaborators joined them for the milestone event, among them Aneta Ljumakovska, Gjoko Jovikj, Nikolche Micevski, Dimitar Andonovski, Bojan Stojkov and Lambe Alabakovski.

Regional stars also sent video greetings for the anniversary, including Sasa Kovacevic, Zeljko Samardzic, Djordje David and the Balkan group Amadeus Bend. The band’s own songs—such as "Come Visit", "Old Car, Romance", "You Left Me", "Step by Step" and "Eyes Full of Tears"—have become staples at celebrations across the country.

The newly surfaced wedding video is the latest example of why Instrumental Bend remains a sought-after name for memorable parties and nuptials in North Macedonia.
