Criminal complaint filed against 19-year-old from Skopje over cohabitation with 16-year-old

A criminal complaint has been filed against a 19-year-old man from Skopje on suspicion of cohabitation with a minor. The suspect had been staying temporarily in Struga, authorities said.
Search and handover of the minor
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on 8 September 2026 a court-ordered search was carried out at the residence used by the suspect. During the search the man was found together with a 16-year-old girl from Skopje.
The minor was handed over to representatives of the Centre for Social Work in Struga for further proceedings.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that a criminal complaint was submitted on the suspicion of cohabitation with a minor and that the case is under police investigation.
No additional details about possible arrests, charges beyond the complaint, or the current status of the probe were released.
