Criminal complaint in Tetovo after man allegedly took 2,000 euros for promised work and residence papers

A criminal complaint has been filed in Tetovo after a man is accused of taking 2,000 euros from another person with the promise of providing residence and work papers abroad.

Police action and the allegation

The Regional Police Department Tetovo (SVR Tetovo) filed a criminal complaint against N.I. (54) from the village of Bogovinje, Tetovo municipality. He is suspected of committing the crime described as "fraud".

According to the complaint, the suspect allegedly deceived a 45-year-old man by promising the necessary documents for residence and employment in a foreign country. The victim, through an intermediary, handed over 2,000 euros to N.I., but the promised documents were never delivered.

When the documents failed to appear, the injured party realized he had been cheated and reported the case to the police. The complaint seeks to hold the accused accountable under the applicable criminal provisions.

The police statement did not provide further procedural details about arrests or court dates; the case will proceed within the regular investigative and prosecutorial process.
