Lila Stojanovska’s sister Marina lives in Sweden; the presenter still visits Gothenburg
Although a well-known presenter in North Macedonia, Lila returns to Gothenburg to visit her sister Marina; she lived in Sweden until age 12.
TV host Lila Stojanovska keeps a busy public profile in North Macedonia, but one part of her private life remains quietly away from the spotlight: her sister, Marina "Matsa" Kiprijanovska, who lives with her family in Sweden.
Lila was born in Gothenburg and spent her early childhood in Sweden; she lived there until she was 12. Her wider family originally comes from the village of Viniče near Skopje, and although Marina rarely appears in media coverage, the sisters remain close.
Visits across the distance
When work allows, Lila travels to Gothenburg to spend time with Marina and her family. On several occasions she has posted photos from those visits, sharing moments with her son Filip and showing scenes with relatives who join them — including her brother Borche Stojanoski and his family at a family birthday.
In social posts Lila has also shown the apartment where she once lived with her parents and sister, reconnecting with places from her childhood. The visits sometimes last several days so she can spend more time with relatives who live far from North Macedonia.
About returning to the city of her birth, Lila wrote in one post: "When after years you return to the city where you were born… When you recognize every corner, and at the same time it looks like you are seeing it for the first time, when you come as a tourist but in fact you are home. Hello Gothenburg!"
Despite the distance, Lila and Marina keep a close family relationship — a quieter, private life that Lila occasionally opens to her followers through photographs and short reflections from Sweden.
