Skopje’s Luna Park to be joined with the Zoological Garden, opening end of 2027, says Orce Gjorgievski
Mayor Orce Gjorgievski announced on 4News that the Luna Park will be connected to the Zoological Garden, offer day tickets and aim to be profitable for the city.
Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgievski told 4News that the long-awaited Luna Park is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027 and that the amusement park will be physically joined with the city’s Zoological Garden.
Gjorgievski said the project will offer a daily-ticket option similar to those used in European capitals, making the site accessible for short visits as well as longer outings.
The mayor also underlined the financial potential of the development, saying the Luna Park will be “very profitable for the city.”
Timeline and public access
According to Gjorgievski’s statements, construction and fitting of attractions are expected to proceed over the next year and a half, with an opening targeted for the end of 2027. He presented the plan as part of efforts to expand leisure infrastructure in Skopje.
Linking the amusement park to the zoo is intended to create a combined recreational destination that can attract both residents and tourists. The mayor highlighted the intention to adopt entry options used in other European metropolises to simplify day visits.
Gjorgievski framed the project as a municipal investment with revenue potential, while saying further technical and administrative steps will follow as the timeline is implemented.
