Hristijan Mickoski to receive European Commission 2026 report today

On 5 November 2026 at 14:00, EU Ambassador Mihalis Rokas will officially hand the European Commission's 2026 progress report to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.

After the handover, at 14:45 the prime minister and the ambassador will hold a joint press conference in the Government Media Centre, where they are expected to present the report's key assessments and recommendations.

What is scheduled

The public appearance in the Media Centre is slated to follow the formal delivery of the document and should outline the Commission’s main findings on the country's political and reform progress for 2026.

Earlier the same day, the Speaker of the Assembly, Afrim Gashi, received the report from Ambassador Rokas.

The European Commission's annual progress report assesses developments and gives recommendations to member‑state candidates; the handover and the subsequent briefing will provide the government’s first public response to the 2026 evaluation.
