Vlado Misajlovski in Slovenia for CEDC defence ministers' meeting
Misajlovski is attending the CEDC annual meeting and Graz/Krems talks to discuss regional defence cooperation and European security.
Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski is in Slovenia, where today and tomorrow he will take part in the annual meeting of defence ministers held under the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC) in Brdo‑Kranj.
The CEDC session brings together defence ministers from the Western Balkans — Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and North Macedonia — to discuss common security challenges and cooperation projects.
Regional formats and agenda
Alongside the CEDC meeting, Misajlovski will attend talks within the informal regional initiative in the Graz/Krems format, which also gathers Western Balkan partners to strengthen defence ties.
The agenda this year focuses on the security situation in Europe and on ways to enhance regional security and defence cooperation through joint projects and exchange of experience with CEDC member states.
Participants will address topics including military mobility, crisis management, hybrid threats, joint training and the development of capacities and capabilities. The meetings will also consider future activities intended to reinforce the role of Western Balkan countries within the Euro‑Atlantic security architecture.
Misajlovski's participation is part of broader efforts by North Macedonia to deepen defence cooperation with regional and Central European partners.
