Adonis Georgiadis: hacked email used to order 200 luxury cars and firearms
On his birthday the minister said hackers used his email to place orders for 150 Porsche Cayenne, 50 Mercedes‑Maybach and several firearms.

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis discovered on the morning of his birthday that his email had been hacked and that orders were placed in his name for 200 luxury cars and several firearms, the minister said in a social media post from Athens.
Georgiadis wrote on X: "On my birthday they prepared the following 'surprise' for me. They hacked my email and, using my name, made the following orders: 150 Porsche Cayenne, 50 Mercedes‑Maybach, 24 Benelli hunting rifles and one Springfield Armory Echelon pistol. I thank them for the original way to wish me a happy birthday, but I inform you that I have just contacted the Service for Combating Electronic Crime and that I will take legal measures. So, happy birthday to me. P.S. Fortunately, I do not have such unfulfilled wishes …"
What the messages show
Photographs circulating from the messages show the orders addressed as if sent by the minister himself. In messages to Porsche the sender asked that 150 Cayennes be delivered for Georgiadis and his wife, while a separate request to Mercedes asked that 50 Mercedes‑Maybach vehicles be shipped to his home address.
According to the account posted by the minister, the intruders also attempted to order weapons: 24 Benelli hunting rifles and a single Springfield Armory Echelon pistol were listed among the requests.
Georgiadis said he has alerted the authorities and contacted the Service for Combating Electronic Crime; he added that he intends to pursue legal action. The minister framed the episode as an unsolicited birthday stunt and underlined that the orders do not reflect his actual wishes.
