62-year-old man found dead in Hrom, Gjorche Petrov with signs of violence
S.J. (62) was discovered at home; the body was handed for autopsy by order of the public prosecutor, police say.
Police found a 62-year-old man dead inside his home in the Hrom neighborhood of the Gjorche Petrov municipality in Skopje, the force said after a citizen reported the case to the Skopje Regional Police Department (SVR Skopje) at 18:40 yesterday.
A doctor from the Emergency Medical Service examined the scene and determined that the victim, identified by initials S.J. (62), had died with signs of violence, leading investigators to treat the case as a suspected homicide.
Investigation and forensic steps
“An inspection was carried out and, by order of the public prosecutor, the body of the deceased was handed over for autopsy. Measures are being taken to clarify the case,” the police said.
Authorities have said they are looking for the person responsible and are conducting measures to establish the circumstances of the death. No names of suspects or further details about a possible motive have been released.
Forensic teams and criminal investigators continue to examine the scene and coordinate with the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office as the inquiry proceeds.
