Special traffic measures will be in place in Skopje tomorrow because of a visit by a Kosovo parliamentary delegation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, will be on an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia tomorrow. Because of the visit, the Unit for Road Traffic Safety will implement a special traffic regime in the central urban area.

What authorities say

The Ministry said the measures are intended to secure the VIP movement and ensure public order in the city center during the visit. Details about specific road closures or timings were not given in the announcement.

The ministry also appealed to all road users to follow the directions that police officers will issue during the operation.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to allow extra time for travel in the central parts of Skopje tomorrow and to obey temporary traffic controls while the delegation is in the city.
