Timeless charm
Frontwoman Ruzhica Milosheska Brchioska again drew attention both for her voice and for her stage presence. Now in her sixth decade, she maintains a slim silhouette, dark hair with bangs and an energy that reads far younger than her years.
For the Gjorche Petrov appearance she opted for a relaxed but chic look: a white shirt, black fitted trousers and white sneakers — an outfit that underscored her natural charisma and let her perform without fuss.
Her youthful appearance is often credited to a long-standing vegetarian diet, together with a calm personal balance and an approach to stress that she has spoken about in the past.
Offstage, Ruzhica balances a very different professional life: she is a trained electrical engineer. On stage she transforms into a rock icon — a role she cultivated alongside her husband, guitarist Ivica Brchioski, when they formed the band Area.
With a powerful vocal performance and a catalogue of evergreen hits, the group underlined once more that quality Macedonian rock continues to resonate across generations.
