Justice ministers Jeton Shasivari and Toni Gogu met at the International Summit for Justice and pledged closer institutional cooperation.

Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari held a bilateral meeting with Albanian Justice Minister Toni Gogu in Istanbul, where both were attending the International Summit for Justice.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice, the ministers discussed ways the two neighbouring countries — North Macedonia and Albania — can support each other in reforming and modernising their judicial systems.
Practical cooperation and European agenda
They underlined the importance of direct institutional communication, the exchange of experiences and good practices, and the need for reforms to deliver more efficient and accessible justice for citizens.
Particular attention was given to each country's European agenda and the possibilities for mutual assistance in meeting rule-of-law standards required for integration processes.
The meeting confirmed both ministries' willingness to deepen cooperation, with an emphasis on concrete initiatives and shared institutional interests.
