Six wildfires active in North Macedonia, one under control
Center for Crisis Management: by 07:30 this morning 27 fires were registered, 20 extinguished
Six wildfires remain active across North Macedonia, while one blaze has been reported as brought under control, authorities say.
The Center for Crisis Management reported that by 07:30 this morning a total of 27 fires had been registered, of which 20 were extinguished.
Locations with ongoing fires
Active fires were reported on the stretch between the villages of Morane – Vrtekica – Ramni Gaber, near the area Vidush, and close to the villages Dragov Dol and Lokvica in the municipality of Makedonski Brod, and near the village S'lp in the municipality of Veles.
Additional active blazes are burning near the village Kopance in the municipality of Jegunovce, between the villages Borino and the village Žitoše in the municipality of Kruševo, and near the village Bojane in the municipality of Saraj.
The fire at the city landfill in Delchevo has been placed under control, officials added. Emergency services continue to monitor the situation and respond where needed.
