Sixth Skopje Air Fair 2026 opens today in City Park

The sixth edition of the aviation-education fair "Skopje Air Fair 2026" is taking place today, October 24, 2026, in Skopje City Park in the area known as "Wembley". Organizers say the event aims to bring aviation closer to the public, with a special focus on young people exploring study and career paths in the sector.

Hands-on displays, industry and training institutions

The fair is organized by the Association for Better Aviation "Avikon" and opens at 11:00. Visitors can see static displays and speak with representatives of airlines, maintenance and training providers, aeroclubs and professional associations from North Macedonia and abroad.

"We want to break all the stereotypes associated with aviation — that it is abstract, unattainable or reserved for certain people with connections. Aviation is open, dynamic and offers numerous real career opportunities," Avikon said.

Exhibitors include TAV Macedonia, Wizz Air, the European Aviation Institute (Romania), the Aviation Academy from Belgrade, Global Aviation (Greece), Global Maintenance (Bulgaria), the Association of Air Traffic Controllers, the Association of Aviation Meteorologists, the Aviation Federation of Macedonia, Aeroclub Skopje, the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, and the Military Academy "General Mihailo Apostolski," among others.

One of the highlight exhibits is a helicopter from the Helicopter Unit "Jastreb" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Organizers invite students, technology enthusiasts and other interested citizens to attend throughout the day.

The fair is promoted as the only event of its kind in the region and as an opportunity for young people to explore concrete education and employment options in aviation.
