Siljanovska-Davkova received UAE ambassador, noted UN Water Conference invitation

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, based in Rome, Abdula Ali Atek Obaid Alsubusi, last night. She thanked him for the personal invitation to participate in the United Nations Conference on Water, scheduled from 8 to 10 December in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting the president emphasized the importance of sustainable management of water resources and ensuring access to clean and safe water for all citizens.

The ambassador briefed the president on the current situation in the UAE, the country's efforts toward peace and stabilization in the region, and the initiatives, activities, plans and expectations that have been undertaken.
President Siljanovska-Davkova began the conversation by expressing her deep condolences on the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a prominent member of Dubai's ruling family.
In the context of developments in the Middle East, she welcomed the constructive and responsible role of the UAE in advancing sustainable peace and regional stability.
Both interlocutors described bilateral relations as excellent and based on mutual respect and understanding.
