Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to speak at 22nd European Summit in Salzburg
President Siljanovska-Davkova will address a session on whether Europe remains a global player.
President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is on a working visit to Austria to take part in the 22nd European Summit in Salzburg. Her office said she will address a session entitled "Is Europe (still) a global player?".
The European Summit in Salzburg is an annual meeting organised by the Institute of the Regions of Europe. The event brings together senior politicians, diplomats, analysts and business leaders from across the continent.
Summit agenda and themes
Organisers have set this year’s principal theme as "Europe — a sovereign global player?", with particular attention to the continent’s security, economic competitiveness, demographic trends and the question of EU enlargement.
Siljanovska-Davkova’s participation is part of an official working visit to Austria linked to her appearance at the summit, her office said. The summit session where she will speak is framed around Europe's strategic role and capacity to act on the global stage.
The Salzburg summit continues to serve as a forum for discussion between policymakers, experts and business representatives on the challenges facing Europe and possible policy responses.
