Traffic accident before the Belasica bridge in Skopje
A Passat reportedly struck by a Hyundai ended up against a concrete barrier near the railway pillars; police say more details will follow.
Last night a serious traffic collision occurred in Skopje, just before the Belasica bridge.
What happened
One of the drivers, traveling in a Volkswagen Passat, drove down from the Belasica bridge and continued straight toward the railway station. According to initial accounts, he was likely struck by a Hyundai that was coming from the opposite direction.
After the impact the Passat ended up against a concrete barrier beside the pillars of the railway.
Traffic across the Belasica bridge was heavily affected last night while emergency services and police worked at the scene.
Police announced they will provide further details today; no additional information about injuries or cause has been released so far.
