Stefan Treneski completes first full season in FIA Formula 4 at Hungaroring

Stefan Treneski completed his first full season in FIA Formula 4 Central Europe (F4 CEZ) this year, finishing the campaign at the Hungaroring and becoming the first driver from North Macedonia to contest an entire FIA Formula series season.

Treneski advanced from the F4 CEZ Academy title he won in 2025 and made his debut at the end of 2025 with Janík Motorsport. For 2026 he signed as a full-season driver with the Czech squad JMT Racing Engineering, competing in the Tatuus F4 T-421 chassis bearing number 427.

Final weekend at Hungaroring: speed, penalty and bad luck

At the Hungaroring finale Treneski showed pace from the start: he recorded fourth place in practice among a 38-car entry and qualified seventh. He had a strong start in the race and battled for top positions, but a 10-second penalty for a minimal overlap of his front wing with another car at a restart dropped him to an official 11th place.

In the final race he suffered contact at the very start that damaged a tyre and prevented him from finishing in a position that would earn points. Despite that setback, his season-long performances drew attention: stronger teams within the series have already expressed interest in Treneski for 2027, and negotiations are ongoing.

For a small country without a long formula tradition, Treneski’s full-season presence on circuits such as Red Bull Ring, Slovakia Ring, Most, Brno and the Hungaroring is a breakthrough for Macedonian motorsport. His path — from simulator and academy to full international competition — shows a rising trajectory that has been noticed by teams across the paddock.
