Jakimovski is serving a final conviction of one year in prison for the illegal construction of the municipal building in Karposh. The sentence will be reduced by five months to account for the time he already spent under house arrest.
He is a former mayor of the Karposh municipality. The surgery and subsequent hospitalization follow his transfer from detention to medical care.
