TAV lifts one‑entry limit for free access to 'Hag and Fly' short‑stop zone at Skopje Airport

TAV Macedonia has withdrawn its rule that limited free access to the short‑stop “Hag and Fly” zone at Skopje International Airport to a single vehicle entry within any 24‑hour period.
The concessionaire’s reversal comes after an intervention by the Commission for Decision on Offences at the Commission for Protection of Competition. The antimonopoly authority, while reviewing the operating regime and usage rules for the zone, asked TAV Macedonia for additional explanations and supporting data about the introduced restriction for citizens.
Regulatory questions prompted the change
Airport officials said the measure that restricted one free entry per day had been removed following the Commission’s request for clarification. The decision affects drivers who use the short‑stop area, commonly known as the pick‑up and drop‑off zone near the terminal.
The Commission for Decision on Offences at the Commission for Protection of Competition examined the rules governing access to the short‑stop area as part of its analysis and requested further information from the concessionaire to assess whether the restriction could harm consumers or limit competition.
The lifting of the one‑entry limit restores the previous practice allowing more flexible short‑term access to the “Hag and Fly” zone, easing brief stops for passengers arriving or departing through Skopje International Airport.
