TAV withdraws one-entry limit for free vehicle access in Skopje 'Hug & Fly' zone
After the competition regulator's request for clarifications, TAV Macedonia revoked the rule limiting free access to one vehicle entry per 24 hours.
The Decision-making Commission on Offences at the Commission for Protection of Competition announced it asked TAV Macedonia for additional explanations and relevant data while reviewing the rules governing the "Hug & Fly" area at Skopje International Airport.
Following that request, TAV Macedonia told the Commission it had withdrawn the regulation that limited free access for one vehicle to a single entry within a 24-hour period.
Commission will keep monitoring access conditions
The Commission welcomed the operator's reversal and said it will continue to observe how access to airport infrastructure is organised. Its stated priority is to ensure equal and non-discriminatory conditions for all market participants.
The decision removes the short-lived restriction on free entries into the "Hug & Fly" zone, but the regulator signalled it will remain vigilant and may request further information or measures if it detects practices that could disadvantage other market actors.
