Donald Trump orders hecklers removed at Daytona Beach rally

President Donald Trump interrupted his speech at a campaign rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, on October 30, 2026, after members of the audience heckled him. From the lectern at the Ocean Center arena he sharply addressed the interrupters and ordered them removed.

Trump shouted, "Shut up! Shut up, you idiot, get him out of here," before security moved into the crowd and escorted several people from the hall. The outburst briefly halted the rally as the audience reacted with boos and chants.

Swift removal and public taunts

After the demonstrators were being led away, Trump mocked them, calling them "paid" and joking that when they returned home their parents — whom he said had voted for him — would "slap them in the face" for their behavior. He then turned back to the cheering supporters and asked, "Is there anything better than a Trump rally?"

The incident took place days before the U.S. congressional elections, scheduled for November 3, 2026. The Ocean Center rally in Daytona Beach was one of several campaign appearances in which Trump has faced interruptions from protesters.

In recent months the president has also had repeated confrontations with journalists, responding angrily when he dislikes questions. At this event, as at others, his team relied on security staff to remove disruptive attendees and resume the program.
